The Department of Education was born in September of 1995; it was established to offer an array of cultural options to students of all ages. The department has grown considerably since its creation, and now includes summer courses, special events and activities, and weekend workshops for children.

The mission of the department is to introduce children to the arts and history of glass, to promote museum visits, and to familiarize people with recycling and the protection of the environment.
